Robert Lowe DFC

Back in the mid 1970’s Robert Lowe built a VP-1 – G-BDAH – and he related the building of the aircraft in a pamphlet type publication published by PFA in 1977 entitled “Enjoy the Sky”. He then went on to write a much more detailed book entitled “Build & Fly your own plane” in 1980 a copy of which I have just obtained. In this book he only mentions about his wartime RAF flying in such aircraft as Spitfires & Mosquitos.

Could anyone provide details of his RAF career and his award of the DFC please.
