I have just been told buy a friend who lives in Sandwich, Kent, that there is to be a memorial service for our air ace this Saturday, May 3rd, at 11.15am, in St Clements church (Sandwich).
A plaque will be unveiled in the church. Following this, the party will move to Sandwich Quay to observe a flypast by a Spitfire and a Hurricane, which is timed to be at 12.30pm.
Details are from an East Kent newspaper, so I’m only passing this on second-hand and don’t know any more, except that he lived in Sandwich – hence the location. Sorry if it is too late.

Memorial
I had the honour of visiting Tuck’s memorial at the beginning of this year, as well as a meeting with the Vicar who gave the service. Turns out the Vicar is a fan of the era.

Thanks Bri
It is good to see they are putting a memorial up to Robert Stanford Tuck! I have read his book several times!
