US actor Robin Williams found dead
Breaking news
US actor Robin Williams found dead, aged 63, in apparent suicide, California police say.Marin County Police said they had found Williams unresponsive after responding to an emergency call around noon local time.
Williams was famous for films such as Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poet’s Society.
He had been open in the past about his struggles with alcohol and drugs.
Have to say the DJ I had on in the background was stumbling in disbelief with his words and I thought he said Robbie Williams…
RIP.

Worries about money, history of depression, early stages of Parkinson’s disease – any creditors would surely want him alive to make them money now rather than dead and relying on the royalties.
And isn’t it a little too dramatic to go to the trouble of making it appear like he’d hung himself after failing to slash his wrists – like something out of a weekday afternoon TV murder mystery to be solved by some famous author in her spare time?

Hi All,
Depression is an illness unlike any other add on top of that Alcohol and Drug dependency it is a ticking time bomb and unfortunately Robins went off!
This much missed star hid his problems like most depressive sufferers even with the help of close Family and Friends he still could not cope. Depression afflicts all walks of life it is just that it is a taboo subject for many, most do not like to admit they have a problem as it is invariably linked to being labelled with you having a mental disorder with the embarrassment that accompanies for the sufferer.
Unfortunately despite his own and all around giving help the demons got the better of this one of a kind comedian who had to of been the best improve actor around with no exceptions. I first watched him in the Mork and Mindy Tv series and a lot of his films and he showed his versatility in films such as Good Will Hunting/Good Morning Vietnam and The Dead Poets Society, he will be sorely missed by all who knew him and all his fans.
One of lifes brightest stars has gone out RIP Mr Williams:(
Geoff.

That would not be a surprise and elsewhere it was stated that he had put a large sum in a trust fund for his three children. Living in a relatively small bungalow left to him by his mother does not suggest a luxury life style.
He complained to friends about taking poor work to pay the bills and his new TV show had been axed after one series.
But is anything worth topping yourself for?

If the rubbish newspapers today are to be believed, two expensive divorces left him a very long way from mega-rich.

That does often seem to be the case doesn’t it ? Or it could be that because they are famous, those are the ones we hear about.
Perhaps it’s the pressure of having to live up to their reputation, always having to improve on their last performance ?

Why is it that when people become famous, and mega rich, have everything they could ever want, turn to drugs, and alcohol, and to commit suicide.I liked any film he was in, he will be sorely missed.
Jim.
