I am trying to find some of the old ROC aircraft recognition cards from the fifties. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I should have said that the “a” files are the fronts and the corresponding “b” files are the text on the back, looks like no-one has downloaded the text side yet
Will scan more when I get a minute ..

Glad it all worked out Sky High and hopefully you also have another lead to follow. Perhaps you might time your visit for when they have the new ROC activity lined up!
I’ll try! This thread could be closed now, having reached a perfect conclusion.

Twin Otter – the cards have arrived and the nostalgia juices are flowing! Just to thank you for your help and I will now sort and catalogue so that I do not duplicate future purchases.
And you never know I might get to Newark one of these days to see your obviously fine museum for myself. :D:D:D

Ach, never mind – c’est la vie. But clearly NAM is a good potential ongoing source so I will keep in touch with Mrs Blackmore.:)
Twin Otter – I have spoken to Mrs Blackmore and she has given me the name of the stall holder, who she is fairly certain was selling the cards so I will write in hope!:)

Sky High – I believe it might have been one of the visiting stall holders (perhaps Bamel ) that had the cards for sale; rather than the museum shop!

Twin Otter – thanks for that information – once you know more I must try to get myself up to Newark as the Museum looks very interesting, quite apart from the goodies in the shop! And I am keenly awaiting the arrival of the cards I bought last week.:)

Sadly I didn’t ‘spot’ any similar cards yesterday – although there were a few ROC recognition posters on one stall.
A full set of mint ROC cards dated 1948 was on offer on saturday and i think they remained unsold;)

As an aside this thread has prompted one museum volunteer to devise an interetsing ROC related activity for next year. This will be based around the ROC Post and ROC Control Room displays in Hangar 1 at Newark. 😉

🙂 Gald to be of assistance – should I be looking out for more cards on Saturday? 😀
Maybe……..but I will have a good sort through once I receive them to avoid too much duplication. You could certainly look out for the sihouette cards, of which there are only 11 in the shop at the moment.:D:D

:diablo: That’s him for the high jump then!!
I saw the cards on Tuesday – they have been taken off sale and are sat on the Shop Managers desk waiting for your call – sorry that she’s not working today!
I have finally spoken to Mrs Blackmore and the deed is done! She has 225 photo cards and 11 silhouette recce cards and I am sending a cheque for the lot.
Many thanks for your help and once I have them and sorted them I might ask you/her to keep specific cards by should more come into her hands.:D:D:D:D

I remember buying them with pocket money at Shuttleworth flying days.

I’ve got a few I can scan on the PC and post, if everyone else does the same we should all end up with loads :D:D:D:D:D
Good grief, are there that many out there….?
