Visited Rochester Airport on Saturday afternoon 30th of June, I was treated to a very unexpected (and very welcome) mini air display for free ! The Breitling Wingwalkers gave a stunning display atop their Boeing Steraman aeroplanes, this was quickly followed by an absolutely terrific solo Spitfire display of Historic Flying’s MK9 (MK912), which I believe from their website will shortly move to Canada. The pilot landed and then took a Piper Grasshopper L4 “Little Rock-ette” for some circuits, many of which where within the airfield bounday at very slow speed, quite wonderful. The resident Pilatus P2-05 “Alpine Eagle” did a fast taxi run, this is a lovely aeroplane, the engine cowling was off and the inverted engine made a wonderful noise, I believe that the undercarriage doors are ME109 based, unable to attach a pic for some reason. Rochester is a great place to visit, Medway Aircraft Preservation Society are in residence and are always very welcoming on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. The cafe make a nice cup of tea and bacon butties.

Isn’t MK912 based at Biggin Hill now?

Thanks Growler.
Neither the 109 or the Hurricane has been active on the Ontario airshow circuit this year.

preservedaxisaircraft.com and a quick googling still has it with the Russell collection.

The Spit is from the now disbanded Ed Russell collection. Anyone know what happened to the Me 109 and the Hurricane 12?
