The Lightning has been located in its display position at Rochester airport. It is right by the main road on a solid concrete plinth and anchored down. Signs around it warn of CCTV surveillance and guard dogs! It is still on the airport site and not by the Bae Systems security gate. She looks good, I just hope she stays that way.

I don’t think its supposed to be an accurate representation, just a beautiful aircraft saved for us all to see in a nice colour scheme. As an ex-Saudi aircraft she never would have flown with the Firebirds anyway.

Here she is back in July before they finished her off. Sure is cool to see her everyday on my way to work !
