The RR Kestrel V has 25 roller or thrust bearings, originally manufactured by Hoffman, of which 24 are ‘specials’. These are no longer generally available and they are a vital component subject to wear. A group buying scheme is being proposed to allow the commissioning of new aerospace certified bearings, at manufacturer’s cost, to allow these engines to operate into the future. If you are interested or know of anybody who may be interested in participating in this scheme please send a PM with postal address to obtain a copy of a bearing catalogue and associated information.

Please note historic images and names are used within the catalogue for historical context but this proposal has nothing to do with Rolls Royce Holdings PLC, Hoffman Bearings or any associated entities.
