Rolls-Royce wins £90m Iberia deal:
Aero engine firm Rolls-Royce says it has won a £90 million order to provide engines for three planes to be flown by Iberia.
Iberia will be using Trent 500 engines to power its Airbus A340-600 airliners.
Iberia will take delivery of the aircraft in mid-2003 and operate them from Madrid to Central and South American destinations.
More than 400 of the Trent 500 engines have been ordered to date by 13 customers in deals worth more than £3.5 billion.

Isn’t the Trent 500 the only engine choice for the A340-500/600? I suppose if an airline orders the aircraft, of course Rolls Royce is going to win the contract!!
