Hi Chaps,
Off to Romania for a couple of days next week, flying into and out of Bucharest Intl. Anything of historic Aviation interest at the airport? I will have an hour or two to kill each way, and wouldn’t want to miss anything of interest?
Anyone else been there – is photography welcome, or is it a potential problem?
Cheers

The Aviation Museum has moved out of Otopeni Intl. Its new location is at the former airfield in Pipera, a couple of kilometers down the road towards the Center of Bucharest. Hope to have helped you.

I did a complete aviation tour of Romania in 1999 – my account of it is at :- http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/visits_pages/trip-romania.html
Check out ‘Monday 10 May’ – when we visited Otopeni airport and the Muzeul Aviatiei – they let us in although it wasn’t quite open.
Also, on our first day there – we photographed the exhibits outside the Muzeul Militar Central in central Bucharest.
Have a good trip…
