Managed to squeeze in a visit to the new site at Pipera in Bucharest during a recent trip. I don’t think they’re quite ready yet as we had to surrender our passports to get in and the guide had to unlock the main building to let us in!
Inside is very dark so apologies for the pictures. Outside is a selection recently moved from the Otopeni (Airport) site and not very well looked after.
Now, if I can just get this to work…

The craft in question is a I.A.R. 80, a product of Romania’s home aircraft industry. The model you refer to is actually a large picture covering the wall.

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing… any idea what is the aircraft in the yellow engine cowling the 3rd picture? there seems to be a smaller version hanging from the ceiling just behind it as well.
