I did not have time during the day, but the chance to get the governmental 727 from Burkino Faso was too tempting to resist. So I visited Rotterdam from a quarter to 12 Tuesday till around half past midnight.
The white and red barriers are a mayor pain for night photography. The barriers are well lit, but the plane is barely lit on it´s somewhat remote stand. So I´ve got several photos where the barriers are fine, but the plane underlit, and others where the plane is fine but the barrier strongly overexposed. This photo was edited in two steps. The top half with the plane and the sky, the bottom half with the tarmac and barriers. I “cut” the photo in the plane’s shadow to make the edit less apparant, but if you look carefully at the main landing gear you can stilll see my “cheat”.
There was plenty of light on these planes, so no problem exposing these shots. There is a chainlink fence though so that presented some difficulties. (the 727 shot was made through a gate)

That 727 is a real rarity.

Nice 🙂 Good and lucky catch with the B727.
