Personally i visited RAF Halton as part of a secondary school visit back in the very early 1980’s. Gnats, Jet Provost, Sea Vixens, Canberra, Basset etc. What a fascinating collection of ground school aircraft!

Oh happy days… Marching up and down the hill at Halton.
I know the publicity film was made 15 years before I signed up, but was it really normal practice to wear your beret on the flightline?
