Even with some cross deck ops too.

Great when the air power HAD colour in these schemes.

John Eacotts’ images are superb, really capture the feeling of being there on the flight deck, he used to post here but haven’t seen anything from him for a while.

I would say the British Phantoms in EDSG were in the more effective scheme for deep water operations!

What I find fascinating is that two Navies (US & RN), operating the same aircraft type (F-4), in the same environment (Atlantic Ocean) have two totally different ‘camouflage’ schemes.

Decided upon presumably as a result of a lot of scientific research by the respective experts in both countries.

At least they agreed on white undersides…… :rolleyes:
