Can anyone help me please?
A visit to Brooklands Museum Weybridge on a Sunday afternoon back probably late 1980s/early 90s gave us an unexpected spectacle of the Mosquito buzzing the Museum at tree top level passing over and turning a few times, this was not a special day or event and was possibly in the early days of the museum opening to the public?.
Can anyone confirm a date or event [if there was one]?

Kermit Weeks’ Mosquito RS712 was ferried to Florida in October 1987 according to the Warbird Registry, so that rules out that one unfortunately.

Thanks all… it was probably summer 1988/9 or 1990 working out on what car I used then, sadly didn’t take a camera but was a very hot day!
The Mosquito certainly beat up the area and [from memory] performed unlike its usual displays at NW Fighter Meet around that time.

My knowledge isn’t as good as others here, but mention of G-MOSI made me think: maybe it was Kermit Weeks’ aircraft? Or is this time period too late for that?

A possibility, but it doesn’t match up with HALCYONMAN’s recollection that it was late 80s/early 90s. What sort of colourscheme did the two Mossies fly in in those days? Perhaps a distinct spinner colour might trigger a memory.

I think it was probably Doug Arnold’s B35 N9797/G-MOSI, it made a very few appearances in the early 80’s before departing to the US and becoming a static in the USAF museum.

Can’t help you with this, but I’ve forwarded your question to someone who might know.
