RT – Live ATC feeds?

I have started ground school on RTF or RT. I have been concentrating on listening to the radio during the last few flying session i did at Cranfield. Cranfield is a busy aerodrome and it has been hectic listening to the radio and executing all the other functions that a pilot must do:-

Aviate
Navigate
Communicate

In the above order. When i work on the computer at home, i listen to live ATC feeds. This helps me practice perform several tasks at the same. Listening to Air traffic control and concentrating on whatever i am doing on the computer. Listening to Live ATC feeds has been helpful in getting familiar with RT vocabulary and the variety of instructions given. At first it is bloody confusing – it has been a few days that i have been listening to these feeds and i am getting a good feel for it. It is one thing to listen in the comfort of my own home but it is all different when you are in the air for real and have to fly a plane. It is helping my ground school work though. i have a list of ATC feed links on my website http://www.freedom-in-the-air.com i am hoping the weather will hold so that i can do some flying up in Tatenhill…it is worth the drive

what other things can i do to help with RT – are are websites that i should bookmark?

Try this one:

www.liveatc.net

great coverage from most parts of the world apart from the UK as the CAA (Campaign Against Aviation) do not allow rebroadcast of ATC.

Try listening to Dublin as its the closest feeder site to the UK

Steve
