Anyone know what type these rudder pedals would of come from? One of the numbers appears to be K 56 45 080.

K was the Percival part number identifyer (for that period at least), 56 is the Provost type no, ie Percival P.56 Provost.
Having got severely grazed knuckles from removing and refitting Pembroke (P.66) pedals, I would say they are very similar, if not the same as yours.
They look odd without the distinctive adjusting mechanism mind!

Not that I am aware of. I would say its more “educated” guess work.
If I remember some of the relevant info, that helps me know which resource I need to use help me identify the part. I am happy to admit that I get it wrong sometimes, but that’s a help in it’s own way. With this I know K is Percival/Hunting etc.
I work with all ages of aircraft parts on a daily basis and its sad to admit that i can remember a widgets ” details” but not my kids birthdays without reference to the wall calendar.
I would like to add that I haven’t forgotten my wedding anniverseary, where as my wife has! Ha!!

Rudder Pedals?
Slight thread creep here gentlemen. Does anyone have a pair or even just the port rear pedal for the F4 Phantom?
Waiting with hope.
Happy landings!!!!!

Interesting, thank you.
So is there a way of telling (like an index system) which pedals were fitted to different types, or is it a case of trial and error?

This is a Percival Part number specific to the Provost. Im only guessing but
I would assume that it is a Percival part, although, as with some of these bits and pieces, Percival probably bought the assembly from a “rudder pedal supplier” and gave it its own part number so as to ensure the customer only goes to Percival for the replacement parts.
as an other example the Canberra rudder pedals also fit the HS748 etc.

Thanks. Do you know if the ‘K’ is a Percival number, or were these made by an outside contractor?

Here is the breakdown.
The part you got the number off is the Plug Spring retaining on the Right hand Rudder Pedal

No idea on weight but its not excessive. I bought them cos i liked the look and condition. They also have a similar look (according to pilots notes) to Sturgeon pedals with the single bar and leather foot strap.
Just curious as to what they are off.

Hi Rob,
I too thought they were Piston Provost too, so I passed the details of this auction to D.C. (of Hornet fame), he is after a’wt to do with the beast! Perhaps if they are no use to you he may relieve you of them??

Rudder Pedals
No idea, but if they are taking up valuable space i could ‘store’ them in a safe (airborne) project.
How much do they weigh. They are a very neat set.
