I personally think he was put in a situation where he thought his family and his life was in danger, which judging by later actions it was.
I think he did the right thing, they had the opportunity to get out of the way but chose to intimidate/threaten his family, though one would have thought a call to the Feds on a mobile as he fled for his own safety would have helped, though we don’t know, he may well have done that.

I’ve ridden since I was a teenager.
Call me anti-social but I prefer to ride alone. I ride out with Suz on her Thundercat sometimes, but she’s a safer biker than I am. I tend towards thinking that possession of motorcycle license means just that–it doesn’t mean the owner necessarily has a the sense to wipe their own **** and I don’t enjoy having some semi-stranger riding close in beside me who I have no clue to his abilities. Recently I was asked by someone what the collective noun for a group of motorcycles was–I replied a ‘w*nkstain’. Yes a w*nkstain of bikers–sadly these days, it fits the bill in way too many cases. Like Rick on here, had I have been in the 4X4 , I’d have gotten the lot of them–they wouldn’t have come after me unless they were running. Ride alone, mind your own business, don’t join clubs etc etc.

Oh I don’t know, maybe for the same reason car marque clubs all drive the same car going to the same location?
Next Sunday I’ll be on a ride with maybe 20 others & we’ll be riding in a pack because we’re all meeting at one place. Then we’re going to a coffee shop about 100 miles away to meet up with a guy who is now 83 & just sold his bikes owing to age/health issues. He can’t come to our usual haunt, so we’re going to him.
He doesn’t actually know this yet, he’s expecting 3 of us to show up, including the guy who just bought his old Kaw 1100.

I don’t doubt it Trump. Crowding and under and overtaking on motorways and crowding and reckless overtaking on single carriageways would count as thuggery to use your description.
Other groups of bikers riding responsibly would never be included in my critical comments.;)

As a biker ,if you mean packs being shall we say more than 5 i can only guess they are going to the same location.
Law abiding bikers are very sociable and the actual riding of the bike is seen as a sociable group experience.
Also riding in small groups does increase their visibility to the many more blind sheep driving cars and talking on mobiles,tuning in radios,lighting up fags etc etc :dev2:
Don’t confuse these thugs with real bikes.

I find motorcycles in packs intimidating enough even when they are obeying the law. It is small wonder that some drivers get spooked when things go wrong either by accident or design.

They need to block off the end of a block then herd them in, once corralled, go through each bike and riders paperwork, jail owners with none and crush any bikes on site with dubious or no paperwork too, do that a couple of times and it will soon stop.l
The legal ones, seeing bikes being crushed in front of them will soon get the hint.

We don’t need to, Linc. I am told he follows the forum on a daily basis!!;) But, as you go on to say, the claims and counter claims will go on for a very long time I have no doubt.
