Runway incursion

Workers in the police garage at New York’s John F Kennedy International airport were surprised to see three young men wander into the facility, wet and bedraggled, claiming they were lost. It seems they had been off the coast in a fishing raft when a rainstorm blew them off course and into Jamaica Bay.
After washing ashore at the airport, the trio wandered onto the runway at the airport, then crossed a taxiway to reach the garage and seek help.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport, immediately launched an investigation, with emphasis on patrol procedures and security
Port Authority Police questioned the unintentional trespassers and released them.
