MOSCOW, Aug. 9 (Xinhuanet) — Russia has decided to buy two deep-diving Scorpio rescue vehicles to boost its rescue capabilities following a submarine accident that trapped seven crewmembers for three days after the mini-submarine got entangled with fishing nets and an antenna on the Pacific seabed. more
Probably a good idea. 🙂

Why do you think rescue subs can’t get into trouble? Do rescue helicopters never crash? Are western rescue subs “Net Proof”?
Well, what do you think net-centric warfare is?
Sorry 😉

I thought the sub itself was a rescue vehicle LOL. Oh well, probably old design then.

This seems to be a sound investment considering the events that have transpired in recent years!

Good, they’d probably have to wait several years before a newly developed Russian system would be ready. If nothing else this is a good way to bridge that gap.
