Russian Naval VLS systems – 9M96

Is there a ready system today that can take the 9M96 even if its in a old style revolver type launcher ?

other than the new VLS for Shtil is anyone else in Ru working on the compact mk41 style VLS launcher – perhaps a universal one for yakhont, klub, 9M96 and maybe a dual-packed SA-13/SA-15 missile in each cell. permits easy mix-n-match mission specific loadouts. stashing in a KH-555 LACM version would be icing on cake.

strike-length Sylver is coming on Orizzonte and Daring and Mk41 already has it.

One would assume that ships with the S-300F or S-300FM may be able to accept the 9M96. A four-pack of 9M96 missiles is able to replace a single 48N6E2 tube in the S-300PMU-2 system, so it might be backwards compatible with the older S-300F system (the S-300FM on Veliky does use a variant of the 48N6).

3S14 launcher is universal enough. It’s dimensions alow it to house all the missiles You mentioned. Actually I don’t see the point for Russians to develop two types of quite similar cold launch VLS. The biggest difference in 3S90 launcher for Shtil1 is smaller underdeck volume (around 6m deep, I guess). Dimensions for 3S14 are 3,76×1,97×9,58.
