Can anyone confirm that the Ryanair 737-200s are due for retirement this month? I still haven’t got round to flying one but have found some cheap fares in the beginning of April. Is it likely that the UK routes such as LTN, DUB, CWL, LBA etc will be operated by 737-200s for much longer, or is this months 738 delivery going to see the noisy ones go forever? 🙁

Is the Hertz car rental and Vodaphone still around? Or are these retired?

Ryanair will always do logojets as a) the company who want it painted with their livery pay for painting and b) they charge rent!
Also everyone knows its a ryanair

yes why not? There is no airline boss with the nickname Mister Nostalgy!

So it means that all the beautiful logojets will go ?
Do you know if FR has some plan to use some 738 as logojet?

732’s are getting a bit long in the tooth now and probably a bit uneconomical to operate

yep as stated above the flights are on the B737-300s now. Last time it was the BAe 146-300 which i was very chuffed about as this was my first trip on a 146!

I am in fact scheduled to fly on one of the -300s in about 10 days or so on the BLK-STN route, returning a few days later. Hopefully these will be the “yellow birds” – not the ones in the hybrid mess!
Sorry, but that’s gonna be an ex-buzz Bae 146 I think!
Read Ryanair’s profit report, released in the end of January. I rmember Michael O’Leary mentioned the retirement of these 737’s.

Well all the Ryanair flights to Newcastle are now operated by Islandflug 734’s.

The Early morning DUB-LBA-DUB is the Islandflug 734, but all the other flights are on the 732.

Ryanair currently have 21 B737-200”s
Two are WFU at Dublin, and Four are WFU at Prestwick
The plan is to withdraw all but the 230srs (Which will remain in service for a further 12mths) at the end of March, or shortly after.
However, Ryanair are trying to gain better lease terms for the ex Buzz B733’s (Six a/c). If they fail to do so, these a/c will be returned to the lessor, and a number of 200srs a/c which were due to go this year, will be retained in service for the time being.
Hope this makes sence!!
