EI-CKS, CJI and CJE finally processed at PIK, sire clear on Friday 20th May. All cockpits saved and going to (great!) homes. Sorry for pic quality – the weather was absolutely disgusting – never seen rain like it. More pics if anyone’s interested…..

That looks great, and confirms that CJI wasnt one that has been scrapped.
AAArrrgghhh – I got it wrong guys – I apologise!!
For EI-CJI read EI-CJF
Sorry, I’ll go stand in the corner

Slight correction methinks. EICJI became GFIGP of European on 11 Apr
The deal fell thru with European – it remained EI-CJI until the end. A/C was owned by DASI Florida.

737 shell with no instruments etc £3-5k
Shell with things left in £8-10k

Sad to see CJE broken up like that – I flew on that bird several times on the BHX-DUB route. I always remember it being quite clean inside and out compared to some of the other 737’s in the FR fleet. Still, the bird had a good life though and was a high cycle airframe and did well to last till now.
All the best,
Jim.

….well it does look a bit disconcerting if your sitting over the wing
Or, indeed, anywhere within sight of the aircraft at all. 😀

The last time I saw EI-CJC it looked like a visit to the breakers’ yard was long overdue! 😮

Yep, I saw Hertz fly into MAN yesterday.
Likewise at PIK.

Uuoret maybe I read it wrong but you said EI-CJI with the yellow color scheme was stored somewhere. The Yellow on is CJC I think and its Hertz and is still happily smoking away flying from Dublin.
Sorry – I meant the pic with the yellow cheat – that’s CJI for Castle Douglas!

Since they are being broken up anyway, perhaps they can be used as fire trainers? There are still some Tridents if I am not mistaken being used for that. Replace a rare Trident for a common 737.

I wonder how much they paid?
By: uuoret - 22nd May 2005 at 10:30
EI-CKS, the one on the car trailer, is already in Pershore, Worcs (temporarily outside my house) EI-CJI, with the yellow Ryanair c/s is located in Castle Douglas, EI-CJE in the Jaguar c/s is already hangared at Biggin Hill wityh it’s new owners, and the rear bulkhead from CJE has gone to a University in London.

Anyone know where these cockpits will go?
