Ryanair intend to switch their Belgian destination from Brussels South (at Charleroi)to Brussels National at Zaventem. I think the slots should be taken by Belgian airlines, they should be the ones who gain benefit from the end of Sabena, the low cost operators have their place, and that is not in main international gateways, after all, you don’t see them at Heathrow (apart from the dreadful Virgin Express, and that is all Sabena-related, they took over the slots). Fly with proper Belgian airlines.

RE: Ryanair in BRU
If the Low-fare airlines can expand and create jobs in the aviation industry who are we to complain at this time?? – Passenger loads will be the real proof!

RE: Ryanair in BRU
Virgin Express…….why dreadful????? This is what the aviation industry is about…one goes others come. I think its a positive point that other airlines are taking up slots……..at least it wont throw Belgium away away from the civil aviation seen….after shutdown of Sabena. I think more small, low cost airlines should come and invest in Belgium. By the way Comet….the latest issue has a feature on Brussels airport…..are you going bonkers yet!!!;)
