Looks like one of Scumbag O’Riley’s 737 drivers has been offroading in his 737 at Prestwick. Now I’ve never thought a 737 to be an ideal offroader and it looks like two-engine drive wasn’t enough, but each to their own I suppose…

Rumour is, cabin crew started selling the passengers tickets for bus transport to the terminal! 😀

No-one’s fault really.
Huh? Of course it’s smeone’s fault! 737s are not meant to go off piste, and furthermore no other aircraft did. Captain is ultimately responsible fior the aircraft WHATEVER the outside circumstances. End of! Tea with the chief pilot, no biscuits, for the flight deck crew I think!

Shouldn’t they have been wearing hi-viz jackets?:D

I belive that they actually walked back to the terminal , from the reports that I have seen
They must have refused to pay then, good on em 😉

Yes, I do believe it’s the first recorded instance of a Glasgow-Prestwick arrival disembarking nearer to Glasgow than Prestwick ! :diablo:

My question is, have all the passengers credit cards been billed for the extra bus ride to the terminal?

No-one’s fault really.
If it was unsafe, PIK would of closed so if MOL does start blaming the airport someone should tell him to put a Snowball in it.

Some years ago I was ramping an Austrian Dash 8 which was on a fuel stop at STN. Whilst waiting for the arrival of the fuel bowser and chatting with the Capt. a Ryanair 737-200 came onto the same apron at what appeared to be very high speed. The quote from the Austrian Capt. ” Gee, someday that guys going to kill somebody” enough said I think.

Hello,
Luckily Ryanair have an MRO facility at Prestwick.

Hmm, Doubt dragging an aircraft out of the mud is included in the handling price. Must be an extra to be paid for. Going to get a taste of their own medicine. Wonder how much they are going to get charged for that!!:diablo:
I’m sure MOL will turn this about and Blame PIK for this ,

She must have had something to do with it, she was in charge of the aircraft at the time.
That was good. 🙂

I’ve often wondered what kinds of speeds Ryanair 737’s are doing whilst taxying at PIK ? Somewhere between pacy and breakneck normally…
Like a lightly oiled whippet?

This comes from another source, anybody know more? :
“and Ryanair 737 overshot end of runway in Scotland a short while ago.
Correction: It now appears it skidded off taxiway enroute to stand. “
From the article itself :
The Ryanair flight from Dublin had just touched down before 0900 GMT when it slid on ice while taxiing towards the terminal building.

Hello,
Mr Tyler really loves Ryanair, having devoted a whole piece of the internet to them.

Ryanair incident at Prestwick.
Not heard of this before, so presumably is a recent report. Must say I haven’t across this site before!;)
