Saved so much money on his plane ticket that he didn’t need £8000!:D

Oh come on! I didn’t say EVERYONE who travels with Ryanair…
Andy
Exactly, just the same as the nutters who try to open the doors to get off traditional airlines at 33,000ft are not among the norm! Or many other cases of nutty people doing nutty things on airlines other than RYR.

Surely even you can appreciate that anyone who eats a £8000 winning scratch card has got to be some sort of serious retard.
Well I originally said muppet but retard certainly fits as well!

Still insulting a lot of fellow forum members I see. Yeah, nice one.

Just goes to demonstrate the sort of customers Ryanair attracts to its flights!
as I said, just goes to show the sort of punters Ryanair drags out to fly

I had exactly the same thought as scotavia until I read your post, so…………it could still have been a set-up with the passenger, probably a Ryanair employee. Or is that stretching incredulity too far?:D:diablo:

The flight was inbound to EMA (my local airport). I have it on very good authority that the incident was genuine, despite myself being a little cynical… Mind you in some ways I’m not surprised – as I said, just goes to show the sort of punters Ryanair drags out to fly :diablo:

Call me cynical. I do not believe this is anything other than one of the many publicity stunts which Ryanair pulls. The passenger never existed and Ryanair has now obtained publicity across the world that they run an onboard lottery with a top prize of 10000 euros. Sure it will cost them a donation to charity(which makes them look good) but the publicity would have cost far more than that in paid adverts. And of course the passenger is not named.

Surprised they didn’t charge him for eating it 😀

Well, that certainly showed Ryanair.
Oh, yes! :diablo:

What an idiot! Like an airline has a spare 10000 Euros to give out in competitions lying about on their flights…
By: PMN - 27th February 2010 at 13:21
What an utter muppet! At least a charity or two somewhere will benefit, which is probably a far more worthy place for the money to be than in this fools bank account!
