This is another serious development.
With so many allied fighters transitioning the area, its only a matter of time before allied or American F-16s are targeted. I can see F-22s being quietly deployed to the region as a counter. These are indeed dangerous developments.
Russia just gave the F-35 the shot in the arm it always needed.
