S61N – G-BBVA of Bristow Helicopters

Not sure if this should rest here in Commercial.

The return to Jersey from Poole on Monday was made slighty more exciting with the intervention of this S61N of Bristow Helicopters which conducted three practice winchings with the crew of Condor Express as she was steaming at 35+ knots.

It gave the passengers a great photo opportunity and the chance to experience the down draft from the rotors at first hand as the machine past overhead at only a few feet.

I hope you enjoy these few images:-

Brilliant shots there off Victor Apha. Is This S61N on hire to the HM Coastguard?

Wow, great photos. Had to check that speed out! In trials, the ship achieved 48.7 knots.
