NATO ASCC has redesignated the S-300PMU-1 and S-300PMU-2 the SA-20A and SA-20B GARGOYLE, due to the new 48N6 missile and TOMB STONE fire control radars, giving substantially improved performance over the original S-300P/PM/PMU systems with 5V55 missiles and FLAP LID fire control radar.
