Hi All,
Having acquired the panel from 184 I’m trying to find any photo’s of said airframe. I’ve done the usual search on Google but nothing, well not for 184 that I’ve seen.
Does anyone have any photo’s of 184 during her service with the SAAF?
Regards
Nigel

Here are a couple of pictures of 184 from Winston Brent in South Africa. They were sent to me by Stefaan Bouwer, an historian and author of several books on the SAAF

Only the last two airframes were scraped, the first four are in RAF service. I dont image there was much left after they had been picked for spares

Does anyone know why MoD quietly passed the unused airframes to be scrapped instead of offering them through DSA ?After all they would have made better “man sheds/holiday lodges ” than the Lynx hulks they’ve been selling?

Here is one, though it looks like it did while it was in storage in the UK:-

Ok, don’t search for puma as you are limiting yourself, search for SAAF Oryx as that is the SAAF name for them , also search for her by her constructor no and RAF Serial No
SAAF No Airframe No Reg No
