SAAF SE-5a & DH-9

Hi everyone,
Those photographs were apparently taken in South Africa but I have always been puzzled by caption on the back of the SE-5a picture.

It’s written :
The Zswartkop airodrome hangars with the “Star Moth” that flew from England to South africa in the foreground.
October 20th 1927.

Until now I found nothing concerning this “Star Moth”, did SE-5 flew directly from England to south Africa ? could someone tell me more about that or it is just a mistake from the writter…
