SAAF Shackleton crash 1994

on the back of the recent events and fantastic new discoveries of WW2 aircraft, whatever happened to the South African Air Force Shackleton that belly landed in the Desert in the 1990`s ??

Why did it crash?

I believe it was a mixture of translation unit failure & engine trouble
