A few years ago whilst desperately looking for a scrap “Korean war” type aircraft, I got very interested in a gaggle of sabres at Palhaus (palhay) in Portugal,
i was told this was a little scrap yard in the ass end of portugal, with not very welcoming vicious Dogs in the area ,
I was looking for “Yet again “”  (I know a cockpit)
the idea was to take it to shows and raise money for Korean war veterans
,who in my eyes have been largely forgotten over the years,
I was writing/phoning, everywhere, searching, for any relic from that period for this cause,
But that was a few years ago now,
I wonder “WHAT” ever happened to them (if anything) and are they still there
languishing in the undergrowth,
I did only find out from a man in Saudi arabia, that there was a couple of Sabre vintage jets there on a dump, but to be honest, I dont think Parcelforce would deliver,LOL:D
I Still would love to do this or something simaler, and still to this day I cannot ever recal a military meeting of MilitaryVehicles or re-enactment, or parade, airshow,or even display, to commemorate those poor devils in Korea,
Why my interest, well it was the same time my father did his National service ,with the RAOC and hence my great interest in the cold war period
Sorry guys ,i believe i am ranting again, i will leave it at that,
so Just a re-cap to cure my curiosity, any news on all the sabres wrecks, and feel free to mention any other Korean war types ,you might remember falling apart at the seams
I will have to get Ken Ellis’s euro wreck relics book, whens the next due out ??
Cheers ‘
Chris C
Ps
Just remembered , I even talked to the top man at the time of RAF Spadeadam, about 4 years or so ago, whilst trying to do this project, (fell through because of re-dundancy)
he said I couldnt have a T-33 as they were in better condition than most, But did offer a Mystere, but would have to look into it ,nothing came about, not suprisingly, and i couldnt believe it when i “Heard” the T-33s had been found Scrapped in a yard in cumbria, are they still there ?
another Korean Type bites the dust, 🙁

MerlinPete might be able to check if they are still available
mmm, i wouldnt pay top dollar for it, its a real mess,
i would try a save all of it, until i seen the photos 🙁
but the “front office” with canopy, would at least be worth saving,or any parts useful to others,ie wings etc
it would go on the back burner, but undercover,as canberra takes precident:D
but she gotta be worth saving at least something
