The wonderful looking Ryanair 737-200 (EI-CJE, the Jaguar Jet), has been withdrawn form use at Prestwick along with EI-CJF.
Such a great looking plane….

I heard an interesting thing about their new 737’s the other day. The engines are purposefully downrated to 85% power to prolong the life and cut down on servicing schedules/costs.

Nooo! Damn it, so now I can only look out for the Hertz and Kilkenny at school 🙁 As mark said, I think the DUB routes are your best bet. I heard from an engineer who worked on CJF at Southend that these are limited to something like 15,000ft due to pressuriasation problems. Whether it’s a rumour, I do not know. But I know they did have problems with the lap-joints, and so it kinda makes sense?
Fits in with what I heard a while back – Ryanair employed their own maintanance staff to to remove old paint work before painting in logojets liveries and did this with a stanley knife and took bits of fusealage paintwork out of the aircraft when doing so as they lacked all professional know how and tools. Then repainted them and didnt repair them hense their time in skies was limited shorter than Ryanairs plans of keeping them until they nearly fell out of the sky to utilise them as much as possible.

The jag jet is now at PIK along with 5 other 732’s. I don’t think they’ll be around for long. PIK management are getting fed up with Ryanair using the place as a dumping ground. Apparently they just fly the things in without letting PIK know about it. They only find out when another one appears as if by magic overnight.

That is a shame indeed – I loved “Jaguar”. I bagged “Vodafone” at BHX on 30th March. “Jaguar” was at BHX on the morning of 31st March, but it was impossible to photograph it from the departure lounge, and it didn’t show to best effect because it was a foggy morning. I had hoped to see this aircraft again when I go back to BHX in November, but now I never will.

Such a nice plane, never really saw it except in pics, Would love to see more of Frontier Aviations planes though!

Luton and Shannon will get B737-800s in September, Stansted will already be an all B737-800 base from mid-July

That really is a great shame to see the jaguar logojet retired….
I hope we some FR 738 logojets soon but they just won’t be smae on a 738 compared to the classic 732…

It also begs the question, will we be seeing 738 LogoJets soon?
Hopefully, would be good to see the Jag on a 738, plus a few new ones. Maybe the novelty is wearing off for sponsors though?

My nanna was on EI-CJF in the half term holiday flying NCL-DUB, a real shame that such old and famous aircraft have to retire. Long live the 737-200.

That’s a shame, I often saw it at EDI. One of the better looking logo-jets! Unlike that tatty Hertz one.

Its in storage at PIK, not sure how long for. LTN-DUB continues to be a 732 as far as I can tell…
EDI-DUB has still got 732s..
This came in today (EI-CDN)
