It has me concerned, I have flown a lot in the Highlands and decided to turn back on several flights due to cloud appearing to hug the hills. Call me over careful but I never feel its worth pushing on. The weather that day was superb in the East of Scotland and as mentioned in the articles a complete contrast in the West. So sad.

I read it on the BBC. They appear to have crashed in or near to a body of water. From the pictures of the search, there is low cloud in the vicinity. According to ASN they made an “emergency call”.
