Saint Martin Approach

I am interested in finding out more about the unique low approach of aircraft over the beach, at Saint Martin in the West Indies.

Does anyone have any information or links I could investigate?

RE: Saint Martin Approach

Imagine trying to claim off the insurance – in collision with Vortex with Boeing 747-428!!

RE: Saint Martin Approach

They are soooo low sometimes because there is no ILS for the pilots to follow so it is all done by the pilot!

My m8 says that around 10 have been taken to hostpital because of injuries gained by the a/c namely B747.

RE: Saint Martin Approach

There are lots of photos at www.airliners.net

It looks amazing how low the aircraft are and I’d love to visit the island some day.
