Hi,
Just got my new X52 but the joystick doesn’t work. The power light comes on but the blue LED’s don’t. I have installed the drivers and connected it in the correct way but nothing 😡 Can anybody help?
Cheers, Chris

I picked up a “catalogue” return for (read it and weep) £34 (X52 Pro) RRP is about £115. The supplied PS2 cable seems to be a weak link, as others have mentioned it.
When my stick isn’t working, there’s a single green led glowing, but only the throttle works. If you have an old KVM switch lying around, you might have a spare PS2 cable – try that, but pushing the supplied cable in is usually enough for me.

Turned out to be a faulty unit. PC World replaced it with a new unit, working fine now 🙂 Thanks for your suggestions. Chris.

It is my belief that the X52 is quite a power hog with regard to the dc supply from the USB socket. On my system, if I plug it into the wrong socket the panel on the throttle and some of the LEDs refuse to come on. A swap to the other socket and away we go. I don’t have any problems at all with either socket with other stuff so it’s possible that one of them is just a bit marginal for power. One of these days I will try a powered USB hub to see if that makes any difference. On the other hand I am saving up for the yoke to go with the pedals so I may not bother.
Bottom line, if leads check out OK try your joystick on another USB port, possibly on another computer.

Just noticed that mine looks the same until the drivers load 🙂

My guess would be the cable too, try the cable both ways around and check for bent pins. A replacement should be easy enough to try, I think it’s a standard PS2 lead.
Good luck,
Bruce

Check the cable that links the stick to the throttle. Does it work when you test it on the control panel/game controllers?

Don’t know much about it but could it be that the X52 is not compatible with your PC/laptop operating system?
