Sally B first flight of 2006 – yesterday

Don’t suppose anyone else saw Sally B up yesterday? I popped into Dx on the offchance and there she was, up and down all afternoon, plus some great Spitfire aerobatics – didn’t catch which plane it was though.

Glorious day, great photo opportunities and no bleedin’ camera 😡

Sally B 10/05/06

Was there to see her flying 🙂 see attached pix will post a few more on a seperate thread

Yes it was like a private airshow shame it was lost on the bus load of German kids on a visit!

The Air Atlantic MeatBox G-LOSM was also a welcome visitor 🙂

Great news to see Sally B in the air last year she was still grounded.

Any news on Pink Lady?

The kind of days most of us wish for but rarely get I suspect.

Isn’t really nice being there when you can only hear engines and see planes – (with no speakers or people around!) – I always remember a very special moment when one morning I arrived for duty at about 7am to be greated by a wonderful summer morning with skylarks (I think!) darting around on the grass – then the P47 and P40 were rolled out ready for a trip up to Elvington – They were having probs starting the P40 so the P47 took off and did a number of gently circuits waiting for his mate – Wow the sound of only the P47 gently flying arouind together with the birds and the weather all made it magical!

May I link statement ‘a’ with statement ‘b’?

😀

No offence.

Somtimes it’s just fun to watch the aeryplane go by. Hey, it was an exclusive experience, that way! 😉

LOL – no offense taken! – the irony did not escape me 😀 Was certainly kicking myself black and blue.

The whole afternoon was a bit surreal, as there were only about a dozen people on the whole airfield – it all seemed like a private airshow for me 😎
