Just asking to see if anyone will know but B17G Sally B has just flown over my house in Lutterworth, Leics and is heading South. The time is 11.00am and the only place I can think she is going is Biggin Hill, but she couldn’t have come from Duxford as she’s to far North. Has she been anywhere up North?

Flew over Andrewsfield whilst I was prepping mine for a bimble, magnificent sight!! especially over an ex WWII USAAF base 🙂

She’s just been over here in Northern Ireland, performing a flypast at a memorial service at Belfast Zoo to a B-17 crew who were killed when their plane crashed into the Cavehill in poor weather, 62 years ago today. Will post pics soon.

According to the Duxford press office, Sally B will be departing Duxford late morning on Saturday, presumably for Biggin, and returning Sunday afternoon.
Probably been up for an air test.
