Just happened to pass the maintenance area at San Antonio Int when I noticed a familiar colour scheme on some MD 80s, presumably at the end of their leases, parked up.
The 328s and Metros were snapped at San Marcos Municpal airport, New Braunfels south Texas, (between San Anotonio and Corpus Christi). The Metros all seemed airworthy but the ex United Express 328 had many parts missing, and unlikely to fly again.
All were photographed in February this year,……….Gerry R.

Seems to be a sad airport with all those aircraft awaiting their fate.
I assume those Dorniers are helping keep the worldwide fleet flying.
