You may all knew that the aircraft radar range against a ground target is always much shorter than against an air target ( even if the two target have the same rcs value ) and from some book i have read that is because the radar have to use the doppler effect to distinguish between the real target and the reflection from ground , but as far as i knew sar radar produce an image to help the pilot find target rather than using doppler effect :confused: does that mean it can help the pilot to detected , attack ground target from much greater range:confused:
And what you guy think more usefull in SEAD and anti ship mission a FLIR pod or a SAR radar
