Can any of you Heathrow regulars confirm if there was a Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A340-300 in today?
It was around 2.30pm when I caught a glimpse of an A340 climbing away from the 27s as I drove through Slough. The engines were red and the tail was blue, so I assumed it was SAS, but it’s not often (if ever) that you see the airline using such an aircraft into London.
Thanks in advance.

Wow…that is an odd reason, legitimate i guess, but odd.
How long does SAS plan to avoid privatization?

According to a press release appearing in Danish newspapers, SAS is short of crew for smaller aircraft and the A340 will therefore occasionally be used on some European routes for a limited period time (with London being one of the destinations mentioned).
