SAS to open new training centre in Riga, Latvia

Today it became official that SAS Flight Academy is to open a fourth training centre, this time in Riga, Latvia, in 2005. SASFA currently has three centres; Stockholm, with 13 full flight simulators, Oslo with three and Copenhagen with only cabin simulators.

Initially, a B737-300/500 full flight simulator will be placed there to primarily serve AirBaltic, who is a member of the SAS Group and currently expanding with more 737s.
