Saudi Tornado – Reconnaissance?

I’ve noticed on a few sites it says that the Royal Saudi Air Force has 12 Panavia Tornado aircraft being used for ECR (Electronic Combat and Reconnaissance).

I thought they were only being used for strike and interdiction and didn’t realize the RSAF had purchased any Tornado’s for the purpose of reconnaissance.

Does anyone have more details about those reconnaissance aircraft the Saudi’s have?

The Eurofighter is definitely going to boost the Saudi Air Force! 3 cheers :p
