I hope this all settles down. I know the guy who owns/ manages a lot of the planes there, including the fleet of 146s.

A formal offer is being made to Ann Gloag today to purchase the airport.

KLM made that announcement a few days ago and hardly surprising since they could hardly take bookings after the date the airport might close.

But your general point is unarguable and with fulsome support from the local council there might be a chance but Thanet has been obstructive and there needs to be better infrastructure links for a fast journey to London and more encouragment to freight operators. There might be some mileage in the Air Sera Rescue hub proposal.

Indeed it would be nice if they can work something out, but whoever takes it on is going to have an uphill struggle on their hands to convince airlines to come back?!
