With SAS being in the process of aquiring BU, and possible talks with Finnair, what are your views on the takeovers and mergers by SAS, will it become to big, or does SAS need to expand to survive??
As an employee of SAS, i am most intersted to hear views outside the company!!!!!!!

What will happen to Norwegian Air Express….as SK have taken over BU???
I was just wondering how it would affect the Bergen-NCL flight……flown at the moment by a Norwegian Air Express F50.

RE: scandinavian airlines
If SAS would still be able to offer the same service, I wouldn’t mind a possbile merger. Especially if they were able to combine the cold-weather expertise from Finnair with the pro-environment-programme in SAS. Also, if it means that the pro-enviro idea gets out to more airlinesrs, I’m all for it.
It’s now that the airlines have to act if we’re still going to see aircrafts in the sky.

I think SAS should not become too big in order to give passengers possibility to have choises. If SAS were to merge with Finnair that would not be good thing. Maybe the Eu might have something to say.

I fully welcome old sterwardess as far as they are friendly.
Time gives professionalism. Old flight attentands have had to face all type of situations and know what to do in all situations. I feel more secure flying with an old expert crew than with nice, cute, young and usually inexpert ones. As far as the airline is concerned, I see it within Lufthansa group very soon. Spanair (owned by 48% by SAS) is talking with LH for a possible merger.

RE: scandinavian airlines
I mostly use SAS when travelling to Europe. Its a good airline with good service. Know that there new A340s and A330s are coming it is going to better. But there is one thing in SAS that bothers me. And that is there air hostess. They are old, and a lil on grumpy side. I have heard that SAS’s air hotsesses union is so strong that SAS cant remove any of them. Anyway, i think if SAS goes ahead with there merger, it is going to help them alot. I have noticed SAS still dosent have the big name that it should. Its fleet changing program is under way and by next month i think they are getting there A340s and A330s, also replacin there MD 80s with NG 737s. Is SAS buying the A321 also? But if SAS merges with Finair, that is going to help them alot in many ways. But i think Finair should not go ahead with this merger. I mean they are doin great in there field.
