Can anyone tell me where i can buy a radio scanner off the net and some tips about how i can tell if they r good would be nice. thanx

Can you recommend any for beginners as its my first scanner. Nice and simple like. But good.

Ok i wud like to use it abroad and i would like to pick up the planes that fkly over my house at around 30,000 feet if this is possible and i would like to use it in airports. Can u reccomend any?

You should get your mind set up first about what you want to do with your scanner. Military frequencies? Civilian frequencies? Do you want to go logging long-range flights, or do you want to use your scanner as ESM gear during planespotting? A mobile scanner or a fixed one? For use in the UK only, or one to travel abroad with?

All things you should count in when buying a scanner.
