scenery

hello.
so what i want to ask is how do i eliminate the old scenary.
becouse living in italy i found out some great scenary designers(ISD projects).
the problem is that after installing it the old scenary will remain and the effect is horrible.

You cannot “remove” default scenery from MSFS. You can use commands in scenery cfg file to flatten it (i.e. no buildings etc) which you can then paste new scenery ontop of.

When you do an installation of scenery such as UK2000, it installs the flatten command itself as this is how it “over rides” the default scenery.

Why on earth would you want to remove the default scenery? If you want to install new scenery, you simply install it over the top, and you will no longer see Flight Simulator’s bare airports. In the event that something goes wrong with a new scenery, you can always revert back to the default if necessary.

I am not sure how you are going about installing the scenery. When I have installed sceneries by ISD, they have worked fine. Make sure that your new scenery is positioned above the default scenery in the ‘Scenery Library’ and all should be fine.

Even though I am not sure how to remove default scenery, I would strongly suggest that you don’t do it.

I’m taking no responsibility here but why not go to: Control Panel/Add & Remove Programs then find your Scenery Program and click ‘add/remove’ and the wizrd that comes up will do the rest for you.

Whatever you do, make sure its the program you want to remove AND NOTHING ELSE! or else:eek: 😡 😮 🙁
