Today was the great day a lot of spotters have been waiting for the last couple of weeks. The first visit of a Airbus A380 at Amsterdam Schiphol. It was a long day starting at 05:30 and ending at 18:00, but it was worth it, sometimes you have to do crazy things to just get that picture you want.
Landing arround 10 o’clock and departing at 18:00 from runway 18L. It was a great sight and it was great fun with friends and spotters.
1. First the ATC guided the A380 over the field, what a nice suprise from them.

2. There were a lot of busses next to the runway wich made photographing difficult. There was also one irritating yellow truck that parked about 20 seconds before touch down right in front of the crowd, what a retard! (we did let him know)
🙄
3.
4. The horizon is all wrong but I liked the contrast.
5.
6. All the operators are displayed on the forward section of the aircraft.
7. Departing at runway 18L, we had a very nice spot.
8. Bye bye A380, hope to see you soon at Schiphol.

Now I’m even more excited about the trip to Paris and London upcomming weekend! A380 here we come (hope they don’t change the aircraft 😆 )

The second shot (with the bird) must be catching the maximum downflex of the wing as the A380 touches down……great shot!
Edit …I’ve levelled your 3rd shot in photoshop and put a little space in at the front (attached)
I edited it with Lightroom, when I leveled the horizon part of the nose went out of the picture. But in this shot the trees in front of the nose look a little odd to me. Nice try.;)
