At the last airshow there a guide told us that most of the buildings on site are suffering from concrete cancer and that there were also concerns over the hangers that the aircraft are in.

The hangars that contain the aircraft at Wroughton are in reasonably condition it’s the Other hangars stuffed full of science and engineering stuff that (desperately) need money spent on them.

So what if aircraft aren’t mentioned. its just a quick news article and it’ll hardly list every type of artifact held at Wroughton.

The aircraft at Manchester need to find a good home.

Surely even the Science Museum wouldn’t come up with an idea as daft as putting aircraft on an airfield (although as I seem to recollect that part of this redevelopment plan involved losing the runways at Wroughton, maybe I should say ‘former airfield’)? Maybe it’ll find a redundant engine shed in which to store aviation related artefacts!

Good news, hopefully enables more regular viewing of some very rare types, although I notice aircraft are conspicuously absent from the article
