Hi all
I am looking at finding out where these cockpits are in Scotland.
F-4 XV581 is no longer at Bridge of Don ATC, apprentky its gone to a museum but they don’t know which one.
XV252 Nimrod
WL798 Shackleton
Can anybody help me out please?

Nice!
That Nimrod cockpit looks to be in nice order:) – the ultimate garden shed! It’s a credit to the person who went to the trouble of saving it and, even more so, moving it (without making a mess of it). Well done 🙂
The Phantom didn’t last long with the ATC unit that got it from Leuchars. The new owner must have pounced and made them an offer for it they couldn’t refuse.
Do we know who he/she is?
Anon.

Isn’t XV252 privately owned in someone’s garden in north east Scotland?

Can’t help much I’m afraid but there was a previous thread re. the Shackleton in which serious doubt is cast that it actually survived the scrapping of the rest of airframe. If you go here you can read all about it –
